For the past five years, under the guise of ELECTRI_CITY, author and musician Rudi Esch has been organising conferences, concerts and lectures in Düsseldorf – the home of Electronic Music – to celebrate and explore the history of music and its influence on our culture.
In the depths of lockdown last Autumn, I was fortunate enough to attend the latest wonderfully engaging conference on Punk, with guest speakers Glen Matlock, Damo Suzuki, Jäki Eldorado, and pictured here Neal X (Sigue Sigue Sputnik / The Montechristos / The Loveless), Jordan Mooney (author, model, original punk icon) and Vom Ritchie (Dr & The Medics / Die Toten Hosen / Cryssis).
